Friday Favorites--Best Tunic, Sweet Dragon Fly Scarf, Hibiscus Bracelet, Real Housewives of DC, and Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Wall Art for Women Bookshelves and Flowers Hello Weekend | Etsy

Happy Friday Besties! I chose this image above because today is the day in Northern Virginia when we can finally start to get out a little bit...safely.  With my health concerns  we are not sure what things will look like for our family, but I do know that we will be taking things slowly. The one thing I do know, it will be so Good to see people again!

As I do almost every Friday, I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what is bringing me Joy this week. Let's do this!

1) Tidal Wave Tunic

No matter where you live--North or South, it's finally white jeans season. Let's celebrate. I love everything about this tunic from Top It Off Accessories. I love the color, I love the cut, I love the neckline, I love the little tab sleeve and I love the fabric. Top It Off makes the Best tunics. They machine wash, line drive and quick iron up like a dream.

This looks so Good with white jeans, but I would also pair this with black capri leggings or use this as a beach cover up.  This comes in other prints and colors too.  All are so on point.

They were so super sweet to gift me this tunic to share with you. I own at least a half a dozen of their tunics and I am loving this new style.

The Best part??? If you enter my code at check out GBB10 you will save 10% on this tunic or anything else on their website.

2) Dragon Fly Scarf

I typically do not wear scarves in the warmer weather, but I am really having a moment with light weight scarves during the stay at home orders. They really can transform any outfit and are perfect for adding some pop to a totally causal outfit like my cargo pants and pink v-neck sweater above.

I chose this dragon fly scarf from Top It Off Accessories because it is unlike anything I own. Both the colors and the fabric are soft and the dragon flies add a touch of whimsy. We get a lot of large dragon flies at our pool and I just think they are so cool.

The price point on this scarf is so Good, so that if you want to add this to your wardrobe or give as a gift, it will not break the bank.  The Best part, you can also use my 10% discount code (GBB10) on this scarf too. Check out their website here

3) Hibiscus and Floral Band Bracelet

I didn't even buy this charm and band to necessarily go together. But when I slid the charm onto this band it was just so stunning. The band reverses to pink with the quote "live your life in full bloom." This combo just makes me happy and I think I will be wearing it on repeat this summer.

The band is part of the Stella & Dot summer sale and is only $14.99 and the charm is half price when you make a $50 purchase. This is just a sweet pair and unlike anything else I own.

4) Real Housewives of DC

iRealHousewives : Andy Cohen Opens Up About The Real Housewives Of ...

On Friday of Memorial Day weekend Bravo ran the marathon of the Real Housewives of DC. Living here outside the nation's capital, I have a lot of back stories and a little gossip about this show, so it was fun to see it again after so many years. This was back when there was less yelling and physical altercations on Housewives and I kind of missed that format.

We set the DVR and watched it with Running Daddy and Hockey Guy. Hockey Guy was totally amused by this and not a fan of the Salahis. I still cannot believe they they crashed the White House dinner.

In these times of school at you think I can count this as a social studies or current event class? Just checking...

5) Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

A 48 ounce tub of Breyers® Chocolate Chip front of pack

This is one of those moment when I felt like I needed to give a simple Joy, a Friday Favorite. I hadn't had ice cream in a while and picked up some Good ole Breyer's chocolate chip ice cream. It's just filled with simple Goodness and kind of brought me Joy all week.

Sometimes we need to just celebrate the old standbys.

That is what I have for you this week. I may take a little step back next week and only do two posts. I hope you have the Best weekend!

Monthly Musings - Summer Food

Hey Besties! Hard to believe it is the end of May. While it seemed like April was the longest month, May seems to be cooking along. Today I am linking up with Holly  for our monthly link up and in May, we are talking summer food. Let's get to our list of questions.

1. Favorite Summer Dish

It has to be a tie between lobster and tomato mozzarella salad. I personally could eat both every day.

2. Favorite Cookout Side Dishes

I love steamed corn on the cob and we actually eat it as a separate course at the end of the meal. I have no idea why we do this but "corn course" is something I grew up doing and still do to this day.

As I mentioned above I love tomato mozzarella salad and is one thing I typically bring to any party. It is always a crowd pleaser and I always know that I can eat something at the party, being gluten free, if I bring this with me.

What's Up Wednesday-May 2020

Hey Besties. Everyone still Good? We are still safe at home here in Virginia and hoping that things can safely open up a little bit in the next few days. We are working to stay safe but hoping that we can maybe see some friends soon.

It's the last Wednesday of the month and I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday. Settle in to find out what we have been up to this month. We have been up to more than one would think consider we cannot do anywhere.

What We're Eating This Week

Monday-Grilled chicken sausage, salad and steamed corn
Tuesday-Take out tacos
Wednesday-Taco meatballs, black beans, salad
Thursday-Maybe lobster mac n cheese
Friday-Pizza night

Hey Besties! May feels like it is actually flying by after April and March crawled by at a snail's pace. No matter what, I think we all need a long weekend! I know we do in this house. To kick off the Memorial Day weekend,  I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what is bringing me Joy this week.

1) Palazzo Pants

I love palazzo pants. I think they are fun and can be totally chic but they have to be the right palazzo pants. Recently Top It Off Accessories gifted me several fashion items to review and these palazzo pants were my number one pick. The material is like butter and the pants have deep pockets. They are fluid and very forgiving with a drawstring waist.

Get Dressed Challenge Week 8-Thirteen Women and a Costco Skirt

Wow, week 8 Besties. We have been at the Get Dressed Challenge for two whole months. When I started this back in late March and early April as a way to get some structure around my day, I never thought that we would be at this project for two months and counting. This has become a little bit of a movement. The Best part of all of this is all of the women who have joined in to get dressed, feel Better, embrace their beauty and taken a little control back over their lives. Our cute clothes are just begging to be worn. And for the record, getting dressed for happy hour on the weekend totally counts!

If you want to join in the Get Dressed Challenge, it would be so Good to have you.  All you have to do is get dressed and either tag me on Instagram or Facebook and I will add you to the Get Dressed Challenge. Even if you don't want to take a photo, all you have to do is send me an email and let me know you got dressed. I will then also add you to my Saturday night drawings I am doing on Facebook live.  More on that below.

Are you ready to see how we got dressed this week?

This blouse by Draper James is a perfect example of cute clothes that are begging to be worn. I needed the weather to get a little warmer to bring out this blouse. It looks really Good with jeans and is perfect for work from home or a casual day at the office, if we ever get back there.

Hey Besties! It finally feels like spring around here, Better late than never. This weekend actually flew by. Now that we are at the weekend, I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what is bringing me Joy this week.

1) Ever Youthful Serum

I have mentioned in the past, I have crazy sensitive skin. Things make me breakout that don't make other people breakout, so when I try a new product I go very slowly. I have been using the Ever Youthful Serum for a few weeks and have noticed that my skin looks Better. My makeup goes on Better and it stays on longer. I have really been trying to clean up my beauty game and what I like about Ever is that it is clean beauty that is really providing results. I have been using this serum for about three weeks now and I am having no sensitivity or breakouts. I am going to be venturing into some additional Ever products over the next few months and will keep you posted. For now, I am going to keep going with this serum.

Friday Favorites: Best Trader Joe's Rose', Last Dance, Hair Salt Scrub, At Home Grey Hair Hack, Best Hand Soap Scent

Happy Mother's Day by Heather Stillufsen | Heather stillufsen ...

Hey Besties! It's darn chilly around here but we made it to Friday. As we head into Mother's Day weekend,  I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what is bringing me Joy this week.

1) Emma Reichart Rose' from Trader Joe's

Trader Joe's Emma Reichart Rosé ($5) — Editors' Pick!

Seriously, this rose' is so Good. During my Safe at Home Birthday my sweet friend Dina brought me this bottle of wine. She said she really liked it and told me to tell her what I thought of it. Running Daddy and I opened it last weekend and thought it was so Good. It's light and crisp and even though Running Daddy is pretty indifferent on rose' he really liked this one. When I Googled it to see where we could buy another bottle, I was so pleasantly surprised to find out it was a Trader Joe's wine and at the Best price point. Apparently this is one of Trader Joe's value wines. Yes please! On my next trip to Trader Joe's I will be stocking up.  Hopefully they will have it in inventory.

Get Dressed Challenge: Week 6 and a Give Away

Welcome to week six of the Get Dressed Challenge. I cannot believe it has been six weeks since I decided to get a little control over my day, add in some normalcy into my week and got dressed.  The Best part? The Best part is all the beautiful women who jumped in and got dressed with me.

To celebrate all of the beautiful women who got dressed over the last six weeks, I have a very fun give away later in the post.

There was a day or so along the way where I didn't really want to get dressed this week but to combat that, I just grabbed something fun and that brings me Joy.

Some days I just need a Lilly pullover. This was one of these days. I love this print and have a summer sleeveless top in the same print.

Friday Favorites: Mother's Day Gift Ideas During a Pandemic

Mother's Day from Heather Stillufsen. Shop on Etsy and Amazon ...

Hey Besties! We made it to Friday. Whew. Here we are in a new month of the pandemic. The weather is getting Better and the weekend is finally here. As I do on most Fridays I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what is bringing me Joy this week.

Today, since we are just about 8 days away from Mother's Day  I am sharing a few Mother's Day gifting ideas for you in this pandemic with a special focus on women owned businesses.

This Mother's Day is tricky I know. No one can really go anywhere and mail is slow, so we all have to do our Best for our mom's this year.

1) Mint and Ivy

My friend Abbey owns a gifting company called Mint and Ivy and has both ready to gift and custom ideas for you this Mother's Day. She can help you pull together a custom idea like the one above or you can give your favorite mama a travel cocktail set, even if she is only going to enjoy on her back patio.
