What's Up Wednesday April 2018

The last Wednesday of the month came up quickly so that means it's time for What's Up Wednesday with Mel, Shaeffer, and Shay. So much happened in April and I cannot wait to share.

What We're Eating This Week

Monday-Such a busy night, so I had a Costco chicken burger by AmyLu with tomato mozzarella. The boys had mac and cheese with some berries.

Tuesday-Smoked paprika chicken, noodles and sauteed squash.

Wednesday-Pan roasted salmon, roasted potatoes and steamed broccoli.

Thursday-Sausage, polenta, salad.

Friday-Pizza.

What I am Reminiscing About

Honestly, with the death of First Lady Barbara Bush, I am reminiscing about her and the early stages of my political career. I had the opportunity to do my first political event by myself with Mrs. Bush up in New Hampshire during the 1992 campaign and have had the honor to be around both her and President Bush 41 (and 43!) several times over my career. They are amazing people and one I hope people really understood their level of commitment to and love of this country. They really are the Best.

Spreading Mother's Day Joy to the Ronald McDonald House

There is nothing Better than the kindness of strangers, especially during the most challenging times. Last week, I mentioned I would be kicking off a really Good charity project to help some moms that could use some Joy this Mother's Day.

So here it is. As part of the online Keep Collective party that I am hosting, we decided to add in a charity element for the 33 moms who will be spending their Mother's Day at the Ronald McDonald House. 

We want to give all 33 ladies staying at the Ronald McDonald house this Mother's Day one of the Keep Collective bracelets below.

Friday Favorites:Good Skincare, Best Housewives, Spring Fashion, New Adventures and a Keep Collective Party

Happy Friday everyone. Is it spring yet where you are? We get a day here and there but it still feels more like early March. Despite the weather it's time to link up with Erika, Narci and Andrea today for a list of my Friday Favorites. These are the things I am finding Joy in this week.

1) L'Oreal Revitalift Cicacream

A couple of months ago I was sent a complimentary new cream by L'Oreal called the Revitalift Cicacream to review by Influenster. While I always love a new beauty product, I always worry about trying something new because almost everything makes me break out. After using this product for about two months, all I can say is that this cream is really Good.

Friday Favorites: Easter, Birthdays, Staycation and Bravo premiers

Happy Friday everyone. We had a really Good week here around the Good Better Best household. We are on Easter break and all of us are home all week for the first time in a long time. Time to link up with Erika, Narci and Andrea today for a list of my Friday Favorites. These are the things I am finding Joy in this week.

1) Easter

We love Easter in the Good Better Best household. While I am all about Christmas, I think as a family Easter is our favorite holiday. We have always hosted Easter but had to move to my in-laws last year due to our massive renovation. We were so glad to have Easter back at our house. Hockey Guy served Easter Mass and then everyone headed to our house. We have a massive egg hunt and typically shoot off bottle rockets. I know, nothing says Jesus is Risen like a bottle rocket. This year Running Daddy started the egg hunt by shooting off a bottle rocket. He later strapped a model Tesla to the rocket and shot it off.
