Before I get into Friday Favorites, I do want to stop and acknowledge those that lost their lives in the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 and the many heroes that helped on the ground the day of the attacks and for months after. We can never forget that day and the sacrifices that were made.
To close out this week, I am linking up with Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites. To lighten the day a bit, I am sharing a very fun night I had last weekend, a cleaning product I have gone back to, and a Good lip gloss to kick off fall. I am also including a favorite fall Hallmark movie that brought us Joy again the other night and some essential oils that are providing me some relief lately. 1. Birthday Tiki Boat
In June, my lovely friend had a big birthday. On Saturday night, we celebrated her on a Tiki boat that cruised up and down the Potomac river on a beautiful September night. It was super fun and we had the whole boat to ourselves. We laughed, we danced and the boat captain said we were the most fun group they had in weeks.
I would follow this group of ladies anywhere. There are ladies in this group who have been there when I cried, loved on Hockey Guy, protected me and always make me laugh. I am truly blessed.
2. Method Daily Shower Cleaner
I mentioned in August's Monthly Musings that I had gone back to the Method Daily Shower Cleaner after using another brand for a while. I am adding to Friday Favorites because I have noticed that the tile in the shower definitely looks cleaner over the last few weeks of using this spray. This also comes in a Eucalyptus Mint if that scent is your preference.
3. Buxom Gabby Lip Gloss
I bought the Gabby Full On Lip Plumper Gloss by Buxom about this time last year. The color is described is a rich plum brown sugar but I think it is the perfect plum shade for fall. I typically don't wear this shade in the middle of summer but with a ever so slight hint of fall this week, I decided to bust it back out.
4. Autumn at Apple Hill
Running Daddy and I have been trying to not watch the news at night because frankly, a lot of it is way too dark for me right now. I figure anything I would need to know for work I can find out the next morning.
We were both happy the other night when the Hallmark Channel re-ran Autumn at Apple Hill which came out in 2024. We have both seen this movie before and I have probably watched it at least four times. It was exactly what we needed while we ate dinner earlier this week.
It's truly delightful. It stars Wes Brown, who is my Hallmark boyfriend, and he drives a very cool Porsche in the movie, which Running Daddy liked. Is this movie very Hallmark formulaic? Yes. Are there full blooming hosta plants right next to full apple trees because this movie was filmed in the middle of summer? Yes. Did this movie bring us a lot of Joy? You bet it did.

5. Revive Essential Oils
This has been a challenging summer for me and my health issues are really acting up. While I typically diffuse essential oils while I sleep, I went back to using a combination from Revive that really helps my autoimmune issues for some reason. I think it might aid my sleep and that alone can really help my health situation. Revive oils are very high quality and have a Good price point.
I have a blend recipe that includes lavender, eucalyptus, myrrh and nutmeg. All or most of these oils are know for anti inflammatory properties as well. I diffuse the oils in this diffuser every night and they seem to be helping this week.
