Friday Favorites: April 14 Photo Cakes, Spring Makeup and shoes, Good Value Body Lotion and a Gluten Free Treat

Hey there Besties. It has been a while since I have done a true Friday Favorites. I am excited to link up again with Erika and Andrea, for Friday Favorites and share with you simple Joys this week. Embrace this spring day and join me for Friday Favorites.

1. Photo Cakes

You know what is a simple Joy? A photo cake. My friends Mrs. C, Mr. R and I pulled together a banquet to celebrate the hockey team last week. We didn't have a ton of time to put this together as there was really only one date that worked well for everyone. Mr. R said we really should have a cake as there was so much to celebrate for this team. This team had so much to celebrate we really needed two cakes.

You know what is super fun? A photo cake! I love how these turned out. And no dear Besties, I didn't make them. You know I don't really bake and when I do, it never looks like this.

If you are in the Washington, DC area and need a super cool cake like this check-in with Maribeth's. They do all kinds of projects for all of the fancy hotels in Washington and they will even make a cake for you. I have used them for all kinds of things over the last few years and they are lovely to work with.

2. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color in Cobblestone

I have been narrowing and updating my makeup a little bit lately. I really like the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colors. They truly stay on all day and don't irritate my eyes like so many products do.

I love a taupe eye color and Cobblestone is just perfect for me. Blend for the day or use a little more for a smokey evening look.

3. Suave Nourishing Body Lotion

I have not used a Suave product since I was in college. A few weeks ago I was sent the Suave Nourishing Cocoa Shea lotion to review. These products have come a long way since I was wearing a scrunchie the first time around and watching Melrose Place in my dorm room.

This lotion is paraben free and works really well. I have mentioned before that I am an itchy skin gal and this product gives really Good hydration all day. You also get a ton of it for a really Good price.

4. Cole Haan Wedge Shoes

I have really been struggling with work shoes lately, especially heading into spring. When you wear Rothy's (Bestie discount code here) all the time you get really spoiled by the comfort but I needed something a little more dressy.

I went back to the Cole Haan wedge shoes and grabbed a pair on sale in both black and nude colors. I wore the nude color yesterday and had all-day comfort.  I like that I can wear them with pants or skirts.

5. Trader Joe's Brownie Crisp Ice Cream Sandwich

Being gluten-free, one of the foods I really miss is an ice cream sandwich. It brought me true food Joy to find out that these brownie coffee crisp ice cream sandwiches are actually gluten-free. These are really Good and a total treat.

They are not specifically marked as gluten-free but they seem to contain no gluten ingredients. Check out the box for yourself if you are gluten-free but if you are not gluten-free then enjoy as well.

I hope you enjoy this spring weekend Besties. I hope to be out in the yard getting things cleaned up for spring.
