I think the snow and ice may actually start melting over the next few days. Can I get a hallelujah Besties? Things have been challenging with the snow and ice around here and also with the devastating ice storms where Hockey Guy goes to school. What has been a bright spot over the last few weeks is Wednesday Hodgepodge hosted by Joyce. It's been so fun that I am joining up again this week. I am so ready for this linkup!
1. What's something recent that had you 'tickled pink'?
This is a small thing, but I flipped through the channels this weekend and How to Marry a Millionaire was on. I would say that I was tickled pink to find it this weekend and then added it to our movie list becuase Running Daddy has never seen it.
2. A bed of roses, everything's coming up roses, every rose has it's thorn, stop and smell the roses, rose-colored glasses, a rose among thorns...which rosy expression might currently be applied to your life in some way?
I would say that "stop and smell the roses" probably could be applied to life right now. Things are busy, the roads are icy, there's no ice melt to be found, and there is so much bad stuff on the news. It's really important to stop and enjoy small things.
3. What makes you feel loved and appreciated?
As I mentioned in Monthly Musings, I am a total act of service person when it comes to my love language. If someone helps me with a project, pours me a glass of wine or helps chop up a pepper for dinner, I feel loved.
4. A box of chocolates or a bouquet of fresh flowers-what's your pleasure? Any special plans for Valentine's Day?
I love candy and simple flowers for Valentine's Day. I think we are going to pick up crab cakes from Wegman's and then add in some easy sides like roasted green beans. We will probably also choose another movie from our classic movie list we are working our way through. We are pretty chill for Valentine's day here.
5. Share a favorite quote, scripture, or song lyric relating to love.
"Love is patient, love is kind. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love was very patient and kind in our household tonight.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
Follow up from a few weeks ago about The Beast in Me. I did end up finishing it. Since Hockey Guy ended up being home for a week, he watched the first six episodes so that he could finish the series with me because he knew I was freaked out to watch the last two.
I am glad I finished the series. It wasn't my favorite but glad I finished it.
Hope this post brought a little lift to your week.
