Happy New Year Besties! Welcome to the first post of 2026 and the first Friday Favorites of the New Year. I am back to work today but had some time over the last few days to compile a quick list of some things that I am loving lately. Thank you to the hosts Erika and Andrea, and now on to my Friday Favorites.
1. Woodford
This little guy joined our family right before Christmas. He is a black lab mix that we named Woodford and he is just so sweet. He definetly knows he is home and with his forever family now. To read more about Woodford and our sweet Stormy, check out my post from earlier this week.
2. Cafe Joyeux for Nespresso
Our Nespresso Pop is propbably my favorite purchase of 2025. This fall, Nespresso started a partnership with Cafe' Joyeaux in New York. I first purchased the pods for our Nespresso because I wanted to try the coffee, once I found out that Cafe' Joyeaux provided opportunities for people with disabilities I was all in.
The Cafe' Joyeaux Nespresso pods are amazing. It is the perfect balance of coffee with unmatched crema. The next time we are in New York City, I will definitely be stopping by Cafe' Joyeaux for an in person coffee.
3. YouTube Fireplace Scenes with Music
I may be the last person on earth to find these, but have you seen the lovely fireplace scene with music on YouTube? I found them earlier in December when I was working from home and I needed to really lock in that day.
I don't know why I am obsessed with these YouTube channels but I am. I find them totally relaxing and help when I am stressed and have a lot of work to do.
Confession, you know who else likes the jazz ones...Woodford. I had them on when working from home and he totally crashed on his little bed for a while. He was being a totally crazy puppy a few nights after we adopted him and Hockey Guy took him down into our family room to play with him. When we came down, Hockey Guy had him in the puppy pen with the jazz fireplaces on.
These are truly my new thing. I think they will be really lovely when I get home from work on those nights in January that are just dark, all the Christmas decorations are down and we just need to chill while making dinner.
4. Marketside Hot Honey Hummus
Hot honey is pretty much everywhere but on a whim in November I added this hot honey hummus to my Walmart + order. It may sound weird but it is really Good. It's great on a gluten-free pretzel thin and feels slightly fancy. This will probably be in my cart every order.
5. River Road Unoaked Chardonnay
River Road also has a double oak and reserve version if that is more you style. The unoaked price point is around $15.00.
