Hey Hey Friday, so Good to see you. This week felt long but the workdays went by quickly. Has anyone had weeks like this? Today I am taking a moment to link up with Erika and Andrea and share the simple pleasures that brought me Joy this week. I have a Trader Joe's wine, two body care products, a beautiful makeup palette and super cute dupe slippers to keep you warm. Let's roll into the weekend and enjoy Friday Favorites!
1. Super Cute Dupe Slippers
My feet are always cold and I have slippers on in the house all the time. I have been seeing the clog-style slippers everywhere this season but I definitely wanted a pair that didn't break the bank. After buying several other options and returning them, I landed on these slippers from Walmart.
They have all of the same styling as the higher-priced brand and are super warm. They have the on-trend platform sole and thick fleece lining. The Best part is that they are under $25...yes you read that correctly.
I wear and 8.5 in shoes so I went with the size 9 in the stone and they are just perfect. If the higher-priced brand in not your budget right now, give these a try.
2. Trader Joe's Petit Reserve Maule Valley Carmenere Wine
Running Daddy recently discovered the Carmenere grape and bought a Chilean bottle at Total Wine a few weeks ago. When I was headed to Trader Joe's recently, he asked me to look and see if Trader Joe's carried a Carmenere. Our store had two different options and I actually went for the Trader Joe's reserve.
This is a great wine for under $10. Notes of black currant, bell pepper and event a touch of leather. This is super drinkable and Good for every day. This would also be a Good option for a party wine.
3. Laura Geller Best of Baked Full Face Palette
I almost need paint by number when it comes to make-up and I bought a new make-up palette that I am loving that fits that bill. I just tried the Best of Baked Full Face Palette and it totally fits the bill. There is not a lot of guesswork, the bronzer doesn't make me orange, the make-up doesn't make me breakout and the eyeshadow doesn't irritate my eyes. Whether you want to pair with a pinky-brown lip (my staple), a nude or even something that is more red in tone, the colors in this kit just work.
4. Bare Magnesium Oil Spray
I have talked about magnesium spray before and I do in general think it is helpful for sleep and other muscle aches. I switched brands to Bare and I think it is great. It is sourced from the Dead Sea and formulated in Wisconsin.
I spray about five sprays into my hands and then rub into my feet. I do five sprays per foot. I think it is really helping my sleeping and this part of my very intricate bedtime routine now.
5. Dove Targeted Serum
I was recently sent the Dove Targeted Serum to use and review. This is a body serum that is supposed to help with stretch marks, dark spots and uneven skin tone. I have found that it is really helpful keeping my eczema at bay.
Like most Dove products, this body serum has a creamy texture. My eczema has a tendency to show up on the front of my shins and gets worse in the winter. I have been using this serum after I get out of the shower on my shins and along the sides of where my bra line hits. I do also put the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Cream on top. I have not had any eczema flare-ups on my shins since I have started adding in this serum.
The serum is paraben and dye-free so that is very helpful for sensitive skin. I think I am going to keep this body serum as part of my daily routine at least through the winter.
I hope you have a relaxing weekend. Don't forget to join Holly and me next Thursday for Monthly Musings on November 21. We are a week early due to Thanksgiving. The topic is Holiday Fun. We will have the prompt questions and graphic up on Monday for Hello Monday.
Ohhh some very cool beauty products I will have to check out- thanks for sharing friend. Can't wait for our linkup next week!
