Wow, this has felt like a long, slow week. I don't know why but it felt slow. We have a lot of fun things on tap for the weekend so I am linking up with Erika, Andrea, Narci and The Blended Blog for my weekly list of things that are bringing me Joy.
1) J Crew Coat

So I have a really Good coat that I bought about ten years ago. It is a military wrap style from Tahari and I get compliments on it still to this day. Ten years is a long time to own a coat, and it has been a Good coat, but I have been feeling like it is time to get a new one.
I had been really liking this City Coat from J Crew Factory but was unsure about size. The online sizing was suggesting a size 2. Now I usually size up in a coat, so I typically wear a size 4-6 so I would usually wear an 8 in a coat to give room for winter bulky clothes. So a size 2 seemed really small to me. Luckily my sweet friend in my office had the same coat and I tried her's on. The 2 definitely fit but I decided I wanted to size up to a four.

I decided last Saturday that I wanted to run over to the outlets to try on the coat and see what colors they had. When I was there I tried on the coat but didn't love how it looked in back. It didn't really lay flat on me. So I tried on the Vail Parka and it was love! I bought it in navy and I took a size 4. I love the slim lines and the hood.

The Best part...it was majorly on sale!
2) Thankful Thursdays with Holly and Patty
Yesterday Holly and I hosted our very first link up called Thankful Thursdays. We are really looking forward to having others join us and share everything that they are thankful for each month. All are welcome and the dates and prompts are below.
3) Patriots Come Back Win
I don't love the Pats as much as I love the Red Sox...but I am a total Tom Brady fan. Sunday night's playoff game is exactly why. Time and time again, Tom Brady can do the impossible. Not just as a physical athlete, but his mental game and strategy is the Best. When he had his comeback Super Bowl win two years ago, Hockey Guy was asleep. Last year's loss had him in tears...Hockey Guy not Brady. So he really got to see on Sunday night why Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T. Hockey Guy couldn't even watch at some points.
The Pats are on their way to the Super Bowl again, this time no controversies. Just skill.
The Super Bowl is going to be so fun this year!
4) Beauty Queen vs. Beauty Queen on The Bachelor
Oh Hannah from Alabama vs Caelynn from North Carolina you are going to be entertaining. We only kinda know why these two don't like each other but I am not sure we ever really will know the whole truth.
I have other questions though...were they really friends like hang out on a Saturday and go shopping in the real world? Or were they friends for like the first ten days of Miss USA when they were roommates until Caelynn started to win things like the swimsuit competition and Hannah was placed in the back row for the production numbers?
I also would like to know why Hannah thinks "befumbled" is a word and it's true definition.
I would also like to know if Hannah's beautiful monster personality has a name. I am not going to lie...this was down right frightening the other night.
I am not really team Caelyn either, but she seems the less crazy of the two.
All I do know is that these two are going to make for Good TV over the next couple of weeks. Thank you ladies!
5) Weight Watchers or WW as it is now known
So I went on vacation in August and have been eating like I am still on vacation ever since. Let's just say that the scale was at a number that makes me raise an eyebrow and know that I need to do something. Honestly, it's not as hip as some of the diets out there now, but Weight Watchers or WW as it is known now always works for me.
About ten years ago I lost 22 lbs on Weight Watchers and kept most of it off. But I am on a journey now to lose 8-12 lbs over the next few months. What I like about WW is you can eat what you want within reason and have a glass of wine too. It is a lot easier to be gluten free on WW now than a few years ago.
Honestly, just like the last time, I want to quit every day. But I have lost 4 lbs in the last two weeks so I know I am going to hit my goal in about a month or so...so I keep going. I will keep you posted on my progress.
That's what I have for this week. Have the Best weekend.
