Typically March feels long after February, but I cannot believe we are at the end of March already. The Best part of the end of the month is that I get to host my link-up party, Monthly Musings. For March, we are focusing on spring holidays and fun. I love spring and I am looking forward to our March questions.
1. Does it feel like spring yet where you are?
Honestly, it depends on the day and the hour. This weekend was a beautiful spring preview and then on Monday it turned super chilly again. I know spring is coming though.
2. What spring holidays do you celebrate?
In our household, we are all about Easter starting with Holy Week. Below are some photos from our Easter table from last year.
It's also my birthday weekend. Not a holiday but I am looking forward to celebrating.
3. Any spring trips planned?
Right we are staying home for now.
4. Favorite foods to eat and share for spring holidays?
We used to host Easter dinner and I am not going to lie, I make an amazing ham. We switched to brunch a few years ago and that has been fun. Brunch is a little easier and much Better because it is earlier in the day.
Our Easter spread above was probably our Best from last year. Breakfast caserole, fruit, deviled eggs, bagels and desserts were on the menu.
5. Are there any spring festivals in your area?
I live outside of Washington, DC and it is all about the cherry blossoms this time of year. Yes they are beautiful but it also bring so much traffic and tour busses.
6. Best spring allergy tip?
For allergies I am a big fan of essential oil and acupuncture. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to know more about acupunture. I have been going for almost five year consistently.
7. What makes you think "ok, now it's finally spring?"
For me, it is all about the weather. I would say that probably days when I can just wear a light jacket for an entire week makes me think it is finally spring.
One more sign of spring, would also be when I can click off my heat and keep it off, even in the early morning.
8. Spring rain, love or dislike?
I like a quick spring rain when you can smell the freshness of the rain. Do you know what I am talking about? I don't love the weeks in spring where it rains for days.
9. Special spring holiday dessert or treat?
Last year, Wine Gal K made a banana pudding with gluten free vanilla wafers that I am still thinking about.
10. Favorite spring cocktail or mocktail?
In the spring, I love to bust out the rose'. I don't drink it much in the cooler months, but rose' wine is perfect for spring.
